Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between mr Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finkle John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, mr Davies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Finkle John!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and John counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Finkle John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davies takes one on the button.
Davies has his takedown stuffed
and John counters with a one-two to the body.

John closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - John lands in his opponent's guard.

Davies looking for a guillotine here but John defends easily.

Davies looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Davies is controlling John's posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as John accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Davies looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
John trying to control but Davies is working from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
John throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Davies on the side of the head.
Davies goes for a double leg but John avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as John continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for mr Davies. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

John lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Davies.
John can't find room to land a body shot as Davies controls the action.

John breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Davies closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

John uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Davies has time to react.
Nice cross by John.
John ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Davies is breathing heavily.
John throws out a powerful jab.


Davies is rocked!
John thuds a left hand into Davies's body.
Oh Davies is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

John forces Davies back against the cage and clinches.
Davies seems to have got his legs back now.
A short right hand to the side of the head by John.
John lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Davies backwards.
Davies tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
John lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
John lands a hook to the side of the head.
John scores with an uppercut up the middle.
John lands on the inside with an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, John creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
John is defending well against a takedown attempt.

A nice right hand lands inside from John.
John digs a right hand into Davies's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Davies's gas tank.
John avoiding damage as Davies throws knees to the body.

John is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Davies can't fight it off and eventually John manages to take the fight to the floor. Davies looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
John throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davies controls John momentarily but John frees himself.

Davies keeping moving, preventing John from controlling successfully.
Davies on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davies tries to get out of the position.
John postures up in Davies's guard and throws a big left but Davies blocks it.

Davies is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
John trying to control but Davies is working from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Finkle John dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Davies throws the kick towards the body but John avoids it.
mr Davies is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
John moves into range and connects with a jab.
Finkle John seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Davies looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

John closes the distance and clinches.
John lands a hook that snaps the head of Davies backwards.
Davies letting John take a breather here.
Davies tries to pull guard but John forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Davies is stalling here.
John has had enough of the clinch but Davies keeps him there for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
John misses with the head strike.
John doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Davies tries to pull guard but John won't allow it.

Davies drops to a knee looking for a takedown but John gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Davies tries to pull guard but John forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

John pushes Davies back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
John gets through Davies's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

John tries to throw a body punch but Davies avoids it by throwing John back against the cage.
John lands with a light punch inside.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

John manages to break the clinch.
John jabs Davies to the body, keeping him at a distance.

John moves into the clinch successfully.
Davies is trying to pull guard but John turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
John lands with a short punch from the clinch.

John has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Davies clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
John punches the canvas rather than the man.
Davies covering up well under a series of strikes from John.
John keeps control of the position easily here as Davies tries to buck him off.

Even with his hooks in, John manages to miss with strikes from the back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - John's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Davies tries to roll but John sticks to his back.
John is looking to control Davies but Davies is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Davies wants to control his opponent's hands but John gets his hands free.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
John is hanging on to Davies's back as he tries to escape.
Davies trying to get back to his feet but John is in full control for now.
John tries to get the hooks in deep but Davies pushed the leg off.
Davies is trying to break free.
Will John go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Davies grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Finkle John showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

John has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
John has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Davies steps to the side to avoid the strikes from John.

John feints and as Davies raises his hands in defense, John changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

John content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

and John counters with a right hand to the body.
John stuffs the takedown attempt from Davies. Davies gets slowly back to his feet.
Davies takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Davies closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
John throws a leg kick that misses.
John is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
John scores with a jab to the body.

Davies takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Davies drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

John cracks Davies with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. John has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Davies to stand back up!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davies takes a body punch but keeps moving.
John is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Davies hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Finkle John!
An out of breath Finkle John thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
