The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartmann throws a head kick that misses.
Hartmann misses with a two punch combination.
Toretto fails to land with a series of punches.
Hartmann smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

I really don't envy Hartmann right now.
Toretto is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Toretto looking to break Hartmann's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hartmann remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Toretto will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Toretto is trying to stick to Hartmann's back but Hartmann is turning into Toretto. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Toretto's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hartmann.

Toretto has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hartmann is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hartmann throws out a powerful jab.

Hartmann tries to close the distance and clinch but Toretto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've been informed that Toretto has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The ground and pound from Hartmann seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
