Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Teach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheldon Cooper has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sheldon Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Edward Teach!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Teach to the mat! Teach manages to get full guard.
Teach trying to strike off his back.
Cooper trying to control but Teach is working from the bottom.
Cooper preventing the sweep.
Cooper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Teach swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cooper trying to control the position from guard on top but Teach is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Teach is looking for a triangle but Cooper pushes his legs off easily.
Cooper wants to control from the top but Teach keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teach trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Cooper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Teach swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Teach looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cooper wants to control from the top but Teach keeps moving.
Teach throws his legs up looking for a submission but Cooper uses it to pass to side control.
Teach felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Cooper tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cooper has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Cooper tries for a kimura but Teach is defending well.
Teach tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Teach trying to remain calm as Cooper controls from the top position.
Cooper is looking to take a break and control but Teach is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Teach's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Teach is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Cooper is staying active.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Teach is looking for a sweep.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Teach has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Teach breaks Cooper's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Cooper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Teach is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Teach throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cooper works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's time! Cooper's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Teach closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cooper's guard.
Teach is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Teach is looking to pass into half guard but Cooper pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Cooper is in guard.

Cooper is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Teach wants to take a breather but Cooper is having none of it.
Cooper tries to roll over but Teach keeps him under control.
Teach is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Cooper is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
