The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pondingham throws a big shot that misses.
Gonzales throws a jab but it's blocked by Pondingham.
Gonzales throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gonzales feints a jab promting Pondingham to slip. Gonzales then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pondingham slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Douglas Pondingham has been cut.
Gonzales has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jab, jab by Pondingham - just one landing.

It looks like Rodrigo Gonzales has been cut.
Gonzales throws a leg kick but Pondingham sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Gonzales moves away from the strike by Pondingham.
Pondingham throws a chopping leg kick but Gonzales manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Gonzales misses with a looping right.
Gonzales throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gonzales uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pondingham cracks Gonzales with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Pondingham has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gonzales to stand back up!

Pondingham shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Gonzales takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Pondingham sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Gonzales bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
