Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lamar Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lou Dragon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lamar Yates's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lamar Yates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lou Dragon!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lou Dragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dragon throws a head kick but Yates moves out of range.
Dragon fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Yates looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Yates checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Dragon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Yatess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dragon connects with a high kick.


It looks like Lamar Yates has been cut.
Yates gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dragon.
Dragon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dragon wants it to stay on the feet.
Yates blocks a jab.
Dragon throws a leg kick which misses Yates's front leg but catches the back leg as Yates tries to avoid it.
Dragon looks for the body kick but Yates saw that one coming.
Dragon ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dragon misses the shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Yates on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Dragon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yates.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dragon does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Yates darts in and clinches Dragon up against the cage.

Yates escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dragon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dragon wants it to stay on the feet.
Yates shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dragon as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Yates has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Yates drops back looking for a leg! Dragon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dragon manages to kick Yates off! Yates jumps back into Dragon's guard.

Yates takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Yates takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Dragon feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yates's calf.
Dragon motions for Yates to come forward. Dragon throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nice takedown defense from Dragon. No joy for Yates on that attempt.
Yates takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Yates changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dragon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Lou Dragon.
I think Dragon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
