Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chase Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Bags!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Evans or perhaps it was just good defense by Bags, which made it look bad.
Bags misses with a takedown attempt - Evans sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bags tries to clinch but Evans moves out of range.

Evans closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bags's guard.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA Montreal inform us that Bags has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Evans seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bags does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Evans is nestled in close to Bags, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Evans landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Bags manages to get to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
