The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

W shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. W showed some decent athleticism there.

W is looking to take a break and control but Marcello is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
W has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
W connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Marcello shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and W counters with a left and a right that stings Marcello.
W throws a quick inside leg kick.
W scores with a shot to the body.
W closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
W wants a takedown.
W jumps guard.
W not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

W pushes Marcello off and scrambles back to his feet.

W dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Marcello. That did some damage!
W shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
W looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
W is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Marcello is surviving well by controlling W's body position as best he can.

W lands a big shot there that rocks Marcello but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
W is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

W decides to stand up, so the ref orders Marcello to his feet.

W shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Marcello's guard.

Marcello has his feet on W's thighs here. He's pushed W off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! W screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
