The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Man darts in and clinches Starkey up against the cage.
Man is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Starkey pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Man breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Man fails with a takedown attempt.
Man will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eff Man. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Man pushes Starkey up against the cage in a clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man tries for a takedown but Starkey manages to get underhooks.

Man manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Man wants to stand and escape but Starkey is having none of it.
Starkey showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

It looks like Starkey might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Man tries to buck Starkey off but Starkey is having none of it.
Starkey has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Man!
Starkey wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Starkey is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Man is forced to tap! Great finish!
