PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Tommy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coach Balrog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tommy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Balrog tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tommy is in Balrog's guard.
Tommy wants to control from the top but Balrog keeps moving.
Tommy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Balrog is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Tommy drops back looking for a leg! Balrog is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Balrog manages to kick Tommy off! Tommy jumps back into Balrog's guard.

Tommy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tommy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tommy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tommy passes Balrog's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Tommy has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Balrog defend it? Tommy steps over the head and cranks it - Balrog is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tommy !
