PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Helppo Heikki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chechnya Chechnya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heikki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tech N9ne - Absolute Power. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Chechnya. No joy for Heikki on that attempt.
Chechnya slaps away a takedown attempt from Heikki, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Heikki shoots in and bounces Chechnya off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Chechnya can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Heikki controls the pace.
Chechnya wants to stand and escape but Heikki is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Heikki seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chechnya for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chechnya really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heikki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Heikki slips a straight right by Chechnya.
Chechnya Chechnya is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Heikki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chechnya swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helppo Heikki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A big left from Chechnya misses.
Heikki bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Chechnya's head.

and Heikki counters with a takedown into side control.
Chechnya is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Heikki has hold of Chechnya's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Chechnya seems comfortable defending it but Heikki has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Chechnya is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Chechnya is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Heikki couldn't care less - he's delighted!
