Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ezra Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toki Umbaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umbaka has chosen Anthem for the Underdog as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ezra Bright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Toki Umbaka!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umbaka throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Bright drives through and clinches with Umbaka against the cage.

Umbaka breaks the clinch.
Umbaka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bright lands a nice leg kick that just misses Umbaka's sensitive parts.

Bright rushes Umbaka and presses him up against the cage.

Umbaka decides to pull guard.

Umbaka has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bright has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Umbaka gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bright.

Umbaka breaks from the clinch.

Bright gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bright avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bright not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Umbaka gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Umbaka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bright pinned against the cage. Bright gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Umbaka gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The referee calls for Umbaka to work.

Umbaka breaks the clinch.

Bright gets caught flat footed, as Umbaka shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Umbaka controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Umbaka is looking to work some ground and pound but Bright has wrist control.
Umbaka trying to control the position from guard on top but Bright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Umbaka is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Umbaka sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Umbaka stands up and waves to Bright to follow him.

Umbaka rushes Bright and presses him up against the cage.
Umbaka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bright smiles and moves away.

Bright gets tackled into the cage by Umbaka. Umbaka maintains the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Umbaka is stalling here.
Bright tries to stall but Umbaka uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Umbaka keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bright's efforts to push away.
Umbaka tries to pull guard but Bright won't allow it.
Ezra Bright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toki Umbaka.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Bright wants to break free but Umbaka has control.
Bright taking a breather.
Umbaka stalling the fight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Umbaka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Umbaka takes the fight into the clinch.
Bright is trying to pull guard but Umbaka has him pressed against the cage.

Bright really is a fat lump.

Umbaka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sloppy strikes from Umbaka. Those never looked like landing.
Umbaka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Umbaka wants it to stay on the feet.
Toki Umbaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Umbaka has closed the distance and engaged Bright in a clinch.
Bright is trying to force a seperation but Umbaka has the dominant position.
Bright tries to pull guard but Umbaka forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Umbaka has Bright pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bright manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Umbaka has Bright pressed against the cage, preventing Bright from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Toki Umbaka dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Umbaka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bright showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Umbaka.

Umbaka moves into range and clinches up with Bright.
Bright wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Umbaka tries to pull guard but Bright holds him up against the cage and eventually Umbaka drops back down to his feet.
A short uppercut from Umbaka.
Bright looking for a takedown.

Bright breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bright.

Umbaka drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Umbaka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Umbaka's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Umbaka is in close to Bright's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Umbaka lands a couple of elbows.
Umbaka stands up over Bright, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Toki Umbaka has got the better of the ground game so far.
Umbaka is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Umbaka showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Umbaka is continuing to stall.

Umbaka stands up and waves to Bright to follow him.
Umbaka shoots in looking for a takedown but Bright manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Umbaka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Umbaka drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Umbaka stands up over Bright, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Umbaka cracks Bright with a solid left hand.
Umbaka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Umbaka chips away with some ground and pound.


Bright is rocked!
Umbaka is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Umbaka postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Bright covers up, he's hurt! Umbaka keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Umbaka and the ref steps in to end the fight! Umbaka can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toki Umbaka!
In his post fight interview, Toki Umbaka gave a big smile as he said 'It was a great war, I was horored to fight you man, I'd like to thank the QFC for this opportunity, and I hope to win my next fight.'.
