PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad The Brat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Brat kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Täällä pohjantähden alla. Carter has chosen Bandanna on the Right as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for The Brat with that takedown attempt.
Carter works over The Brat's head and body with a nice combination.

and Carter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Carter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Brat with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Carter is looking for a kimura but The Brat is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Carter to get the leverage.

The Brat is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

The Brat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Carter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The Brat closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Carter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The Brat has hold of Carter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Carter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Carter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

I would just about give that final round to Wayne Carter.
