Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nathan Redmond!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redmond shoots in looking for a takedown. Bishop tries to sprawl out of it but Redmond keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bishop manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Redmond rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bishop moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Redmond swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Redmond fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Redmond moves into the clinch successfully.
Redmond tries to land a knee to the head but Bishop blocks with his arms.
Bishop avoiding damage as Redmond throws knees to the body.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bishop.
Redmond has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Redmond lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bishop looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Redmond with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bishop wants to pass to mount but Redmond is defending the position.

Bishop looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
