Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toby Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Meldrick Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fisher clinches.
Fisher could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches.

Johnson manages to break the clinch.
Fisher takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fisher on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Johnson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Fisher if he has to take too many more of those.
Meldrick Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fisher, pushing him back against the cage.
Johnson tries a knee to the head but Fisher blocks it.

Johnson gets control of Fisher's arms and successfully pulls guard. Johnson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Johnson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Fisher's defenses.

Johnson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Fisher feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Fisher changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fisher gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fisher tries to stall but Johnson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Johnson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fisher walks away with a smile on his face. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fisher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fisher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Fisher's legs - danger averted.

Fisher had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.
