The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Demon clinches up with Phillips and pushes him back against the cage.
Demon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Phillips is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Demon goes for a takedown attempt but Phillips pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Demon drives through and clinches with Phillips against the cage.

Demon tries to pull guard but Phillips holds him up against the cage and eventually Demon drops back down to his feet.
Vaughn Phillips has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Demon.
Demon lands an elbow inside that Phillips shrugs off.

Demon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Phillips throws a lazy right hand but Demon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Phillips shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Demon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Demon has his feet on Phillips's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Demon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Demon shoots in looking for a takedown. Phillips tries to sprawl out of it but Demon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Phillips manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Phillips ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Phillips no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Phillips has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Demon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

I would just about give that final round to Luis Demon.
