The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzaski moves in looking to clinch but Hawklight pushes him off.
Suzaski fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Suzaski has been working on his boxing with his coaches at [CBK] Punch-kicker Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Suzaski takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Suzaski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hawklight has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hawklight and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hawklight wants to free his trapped foot but Suzaski is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Suzaski tries to get to full guard but Hawklight has control of the leg.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davian Hawklight dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hawklight sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Hawklight has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hawklight pounces like a tiger and cracks Suzaski with a vicious hook! Suzaski is down but not out! Hawklight follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
