Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven McKenzie!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenzie shoots and misses
and Kowalski counters with an inside leg kick.
Kowalski lands a nice hook to McKenzie's body. McKenzie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McKenzie tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Danga de danga de dang - Kowalski scores with a four punch combination!
McKenzie with a poor takedown

and Kowalski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kowalski lands a hook to the side of the head.
McKenzie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kowalski smiles and moves away.
Jan Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven McKenzie.
McKenzie fails with the takedown
and Kowalski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

McKenzie is still on wobbly legs! Can Kowalski finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McKenzie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
McKenzie seems to have recovered his senses.
A bit of stalling here from Kowalski.
McKenzie jumps guard but Kowalski turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
McKenzie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kowalski just stands there and leans against the cage.
McKenzie is trying to pull guard but Kowalski turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kowalski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kowalski pushes McKenzie back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Kowalski stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
McKenzie tries to pull guard but Kowalski forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

McKenzie is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kowalski to keep the fight standing.
McKenzie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kowalski walks away with a smile on his face. McKenzie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kowalski lands a high kick!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Kowalski throws an absolute beast of a head kick! McKenzie is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jan Kowalski!
