Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brik Holtik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haraldr Harfagri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harfagri is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pursuit of Vikings. Brik Holtik has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harfagri cracks a nice hook into Holtik's ribs.
Harfagri throws out a leg kick but Holtik moves out of range and Harfagri only half commits.
Holtik scoring well with a low kick there.
Holtik is looking to score with low kicks.
Harfagri tries for a takedown but Holtik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Harfagri closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Holtik is staying active underneath Harfagri, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Harfagri is working for a kimura here but Holtik manages to reverse the position and he's now in Harfagri's guard.

Harfagri throws a series of strikes that have Holtik backpedaling.

Holtik swings for the body but Harfagri moves out of range.

Holtik throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Harfagri stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Holtik follows into mount!

Harfagri is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Harfagri working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Holtik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Holtik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harfagri is working an open guard so Holtik takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Holtik throws a sloppy head kick and Harfagri moves out of range easily.

Harfagri drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Holtik is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Harfagri has just dragged him back down to the mat.

A nice leg kick lands there from Holtik.
Holtik throws a chopping leg kick but Harfagri manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Harfagri throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Harfagri closes this distance looking for a takedown but Holtik circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Holtik throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Harfagri.

Harfagri closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Harfagri wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Holtik, who protects the arm well.

Harfagri is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Holtik is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Harfagri takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Holtik wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Harfagri tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harfagri has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Holtik gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Harfagri is working for a kimura but Holtik is defending it quite comfortably.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Harfagri is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Holtik is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Holtik has escaped and now he's on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
