The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Horse clinches up against the cage.

Horse breaks the clinch.
Crazy Horse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paul is trying hard to land a takedown here. Horse sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Horse clinches up with Paul and pushes him back against the cage.

Horse is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Paul can't fight it off and eventually Horse manages to take the fight to the floor. Paul looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Paul wants to sweep but no luck.

Horse wants to stand but Paul is controlling his posture from full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Crazy Horse was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Paul is trying to push Horse away but Horse has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nice body punch from Horse - that landed with a thud.
Paul really is a fat lump.
Paul is breathing heavily.
Horse gets underhooks to prevent Paul's takedown attempt.
Horse lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Horse lands an uppercut.
Horse putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Paul in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horse wants to stand but Paul is controlling the position.

Paul decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Horse moves into range and clinches up with Paul.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Horse.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Horse creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Paul tries to pull guard but Horse holds him up against the cage and eventually Paul drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donny Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Horse escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Horse closes the distance and pushes Paul back into the cage.
Horse lands a left hand that snaps the head of Paul backwards.
Horse lands an elbow inside that Paul shrugs off.

It looks like Donny Paul has been cut.

Horse breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horse looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Horse backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Paul's temple! It sends Paul violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Horse celebrates and the doctors try to help Paul!
