Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willis Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cowl Hefernon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cowl Hefernon!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hefernon clinches up against the cage.

Johnson is trying to trip Hefernon. He has hold of a leg but Hefernon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Johnson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Hefernon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hefernon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hefernon is working an open guard so Johnson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Hefernon clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage.

Hefernon is fighting off a takedown attempt but Johnson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hefernon to the mat. Hefernon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Johnson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Johnson won't allow Hefernon to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hefernon is on top in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hefernon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hefernon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Hefernon's legs - danger averted.

Hefernon is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hefernon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've been hearing good reports from Johnson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Hefernon quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Johnson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hefernon celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
