PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Kabulla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Kazansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazansky has chosen Danger Zone as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tom Kazansky is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Kazansky!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kazansky scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kazansky cracks Kabulla with a big elbow.
Kazansky trying to control the action but Kabulla is working from the bottom.
Kazansky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kabulla is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kazansky off and has taken his back!

Kabulla is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kazansky is defending well though. Kabulla let's go of the attempt for now.

Kazansky is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Kabulla is trying to stick to Kazansky's back but Kazansky is turning into Kabulla. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kabulla's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kazansky.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kabulla closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Nice takedown defense from Kazansky. No joy for Kabulla on that attempt.
Kazansky is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kabulla.
Kazansky misses with a double jab
and Kabulla counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kazansky is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kazansky has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kabulla finds it's way round the side to connect with Kazansky's head.

Kabulla lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kazansky is still on wobbly legs! Can Kabulla finish him?

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kabulla instigates a clinch.

Kabulla is trying to trip Kazansky. He has hold of a leg but Kazansky is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kabulla persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Kabulla controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kabulla lands a couple of digs.
Kabulla passes Kazansky's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kabulla winds up and cracks Kazansky with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kabulla passes to full mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kabulla cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kazansky defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kabulla.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kabulla tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kabulla is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Kabulla stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Kabulla circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Kazansky drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kabulla follows Kazansky to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ronald Kabulla!
