Kawajiri's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Water Pow . Senko is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: will.i.am T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever) . Tatsuya Kawajiri has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tatsuya Kawajiri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aigars Senko!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawajiri shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Some wild striking there from Kawajiri.
Kawajiri moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kawajiri slips under a jab.
Kawajiri dodges the punch combination from Senko.
No luck for Kawajiri with that takedown attempt.
Kawajiri shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Senko pinned against the cage. Senko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kawajiri or perhaps it was just good defense by Senko, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tatsuya Kawajiri. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kawajiri showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Senko.
Nice defenses there by Kawajiri.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kawajiri stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Senko.
Kawajiri changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Senko tries to avoid it but Kawajiri manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Senko to the ground. Senko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Senko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Senko throws a low kick, looking for Kawajiri's leg but Kawajiri calmly moves out of range.
Kawajiri fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Senko looks to land a left hand but Kawajiri moved out of range nicely.
Senko jabs Kawajiri right on the nose. Kawajiri blinks but takes it well.
Aigars Senko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Senko misses the jab.
Senko stuffs the takedown attempt from Kawajiri. Kawajiri gets slowly back to his feet.
Kawajiri tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Senko swivels and escapes.
Kawajiri gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Senko slaps away a takedown attempt from Kawajiri, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kawajiri with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Senko to score with a decent uppercut.

Senko drops Kawajiri with a beautiful combination! Kawajiri stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Senko is looking for the KO!


Kawajiri is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kawajiri throws a right hand that Senko ducks under and follows up with a left that Senko also avoids with ease.
Oh Kawajiri is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Senko cracks Kawajiri with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kawajiri misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kawajiri takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kawajiri seems to have got his legs back now.
Senko throws a good cross that connects.
Kawajiri seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Senko shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Kawajiri is backing up but Senko catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Kawajiri covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Senko Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aigars Senko!
Aigars Senko decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
