The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maine has Ding Dong up against the ropes in a clinch.
Ding Dong looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ding Dong is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Maine is keeping busy.
Maine tries to break the clinch but Ding Dong is controlling the position.

Maine has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ding Dong uses from the top position.
Maine wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Maine bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ding Dong's guard.
Maine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ding Dong swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Maine is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ding Dong is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Maine content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Maine remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ding Dong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ding Dong tries to escape but Maine has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
