Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Tsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristobal Mittenheim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Sam Tsui has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sam Tsui!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kristobal Mittenheim!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsui shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mittenheim pinned against the cage. Mittenheim gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tsui misses with a takedown attempt
and Mittenheim counters with a left to the body.
Mittenheim throws a jab but it's blocked by Tsui.
Tsui tries for a takedown but Mittenheim sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Tsui. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mittenheim misses the jab.
Mittenheim throws a jab but it's blocked by Tsui.
Mittenheim thows a left - swing and a miss!

Tsui fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mittenheim sprawls well initially but Tsui persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tsui tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mittenheim knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Tsui wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mittenheim keeps working.
Mittenheim is looking for a sweep. Tsui is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tsui wants to take a breather but Mittenheim is having none of it.

Sam Tsui has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Mittenheim throws a leg kick but Tsui checks it.
Tsui shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mittenheim pinned against the cage. Mittenheim gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tsui shoots in for a double leg but Mittenheim sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mittenheim goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Tsui changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mittenheim fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Mittenheim throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Mittenheim does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Kristobal Mittenheim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tsui takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Tsui gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Mittenheim throws a body shot but no joy.
Mittenheim lands with a cross.
Tsui shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Mittenheim ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tsui moves away.
Oh Tsui is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big right from Mittenheim misses.
Tsui seems to have got his legs back now.
Tsui shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mittenheim cracks Tsui with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Mittenheim stuffs the takedown attempt from Tsui. Tsui gets slowly back to his feet.
Tsui tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mittenheim defends well and Tsui ends up having to push Mittenheim into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Tsui is working for takedown but Mittenheim is calmly controlling the position for now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Tsui takes a body punch but keeps moving.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Tsui bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tsui tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mittenheim swivels and escapes.
Mittenheim misses with a low kick.
Tsui uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mittenheim.
Tsui keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mittenheim.
Tsui moves away from the strike by Mittenheim.
Tsui ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mittenheim throws a jab but it's blocked by Tsui.

Tsui goes for a double leg but Mittenheim avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mittenheim continues to drive forward.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
