Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Huey Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frost Ulisses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost Ulisses has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ulisses tries for a takedown but Adams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ulisses gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Ulisses has picked Adams up - he's going for a ride! Ulisses dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ulisses goes for a double leg but Adams avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Adams continues to drive forward.

Huey Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frost Ulisses.

Ulisses is working for takedown but Adams is calmly controlling the position for now.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Huey Adams wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Ulisses shoots in looking for a takedown. Adams tries to sprawl out of it but Ulisses keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Adams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ulisses fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

A close round but Frost Ulisses will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A head kick by Ulisses misses
and Adams counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Ulisses fails with the takedown.
Adams cracks Ulisses with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Ulisses feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ulisses is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Adams to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Adams shrugs it off.

Well Ulisses has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
