PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kennith Kole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Santaros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kole comes to the cage accompanied by SuperBeast: Rob Zombie. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kennith Kole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dexter Santaros!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Santaros. That snapped Kole's head back.
A jab from Kole misses.
Kole walks into a jab.
Santaros keeps the fight on the outside.
Kole is looking to land body kicks.
Santaros shoots in looking for a takedown. Kole tries to sprawl out of it but Santaros keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kole manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Santaros walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kole shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Santaros's guard.
Kole trying to control but Santaros is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santaros swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Santaros is trying to keep Kole in close.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santaros is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Kole pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Santaros is keeping the position for now.

Santaros is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kole is aware though and is defending well.
Santaros is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santaros swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Santaros is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kole is looking to control Santaros's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kole avoid being mounted?
Kole is looking to improve his position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kole wants to get back to full guard.
Santaros trying to pass the guard but Kole defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kole is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kole looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Kole regains full guard. Nicely done.

Kole is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Santaros defends well.
Kole wants to sweep but no luck.
Santaros lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Kole controls Santaros momentarily but Santaros frees himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Kole is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Santaros is aware though and is defending well.
Santaros slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kole throws an off balance right hand
and Santaros counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kole thinking.
Kole shoots in but no luck this time.
Santaros connects with a body shot.
Kole is breathing heavily.
Santaros scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kole showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Santaros.
Santaros lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A jab from Santaros finds it's way through Kole's defenses.
Kole tries to work over Santaros's front leg with a kick but Santaros checks it.
Santaros avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Santaros lands a jab to Kole's midsection.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dexter Santaros dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Santaros drops Kole with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Kole! Santaros dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dexter Santaros!
Kennith Kole was interviewed post fight and said 'HEH,..OOPS Back to the CAVE,...Thank you for comin out'.
