Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mertsi Peltola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alen Delon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mertsi Peltola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Alen Delon!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peltola jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Peltola swings for the body but Delon moves out of range.
A slow jab from Peltola misses its intended target.
Peltola lands a nice hook to Delon's body. Delon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Delon shoots in but Peltola avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Delon slips under a jab from Peltola.
Delon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Peltola. That snapped Delon's head back.


It looks like Alen Delon has been cut.
Delon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Peltola.
Peltola looks to score with a jab to the body but Delon is just out of range.
Peltola throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Peltola lands a nice shot to the body.

Peltola loads up on a big right hand but Delon slips the punch.
Peltola swings for the body but Delon moves out of range.
Peltola fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Delon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mertsi Peltola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peltola throws the left hand but Delon avoids the punch easily.
Delon defending well as Peltola loads up on a big left hand.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Delon.
Delon staying calm.
Peltola is trying to control Delon's posture but Delon avoids it.
Peltola sneaks back into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Delon working the head and body with strikes.
Delon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Peltola blocking the ground and pound attempt from Delon.
Delon missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Delon is stalling here. Peltola is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Delon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Peltola has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Delon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Peltola wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Peltola controls the position from side control.
You can see the frustration on Delon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Delon is looking for a sweep.
Delon sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Delon is looking to improve his position.
Delon is trying to control but can't.
Delon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Peltola trying to control the position from guard on top but Delon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Delon looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Peltola puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Delon manages to get to full guard.
Delon managing to control the position.
Delon looking to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Delon can't keep his opponent in guard - Peltola advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mertsi Peltola dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Alen Delon's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Peltola misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Delon.

Delon shoots in and gets a takedown into Peltola's guard.
Delon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Delon lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Delon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Peltola's head.

Delon is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Peltola has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Delon is looking to defend but Peltola has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Delon! Peltola pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Delon taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mertsi Peltola!
Mertsi Peltola seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
