Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Am (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kron Hauser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Am!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kron Hauser!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Francis DeMontford and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Am gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hauser's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hauser's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hauser prevents a body shot from Am.
A head punch on the inside from Am fails to land.
Am lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Am pushes Hauser back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hauser blocks a body shot from Am.
Am makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Am misses with a body punch.

Hauser manages to break the clinch.
Am fails with a takedown attempt.
Hauser throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Am tries to clinch up.
Am tries to clinch but Hauser is having none of it.
Hauser fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Am has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sam Am seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hauser avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Am tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hauser swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hauser delivers a nice body kick.

Am gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Am lands a body shot in the clinch.
Am is looking to take this one to the mat.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hauser.

Am has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hauser regains guard immediately.
Am is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hauser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Am is one step ahead there.

Hauser wants to stand but Am is controlling the position.
Hauser can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Am controls the pace.

Hauser is trying to stand up here but Am is controlling him well.
Am stalling.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Am shoots in and drives through. Hauser sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Am. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Am tries to clinch there but Hauser circles away.
Am throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hauser's waist but Hauser gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Am off to one side.
Am tries to close the distance and clinch but Hauser swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hauser avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Am looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hauser!
Am working away.

Am wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hauser keeps working.
Am is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Am looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hauser is avoiding damage well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hauser tries to bench press Am off him but Am keeps the position.
Hauser is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Am trying to control the position but Hauser is working away.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Am dominated that round.
That's time! Am's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hauser keeps the fight on the outside.
Crunch! Hauser slams his shin into Am's torso.
Am shoots in but Hauser avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hauser misses with a head kick.

Hauser tries to keep at a distance but Am has taken the fight into the clinch.
Am struggles to land a body shot inside as Hauser controls his hands.
Am doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Am tries to score a body lock takedown but Hauser shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Am gets through Hauser's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Hauser blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Am throws a head punch that misses.

Hauser breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hauser connects with a solid leg kick.
Hauser misses with a head kick.
Hauser slaps away a takedown attempt from Am, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Am. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Am misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Am sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Am fails to land the takedown.
Hauser circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Hauser as Am shoots in.
Hauser throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Am's head.

Hauser feints and then cracks Am's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Am down.
Am tries to close the distance and clinch but Hauser swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hauser misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hauser avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Am closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hauser.
Am can't find room to land a body shot as Hauser controls the action.
Am is trying to drag Hauser to the mat but Hauser just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Am swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Am keeps control of Hauser as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hauser is trying to break free.
Hauser is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Am tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Am misses with some punches.
Am struggles to land a body shot inside as Hauser controls his hands.
Hauser blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hauser.
Am drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Am misses with a body punch.
Am swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Am has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hauser avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Am has a couple of punches blocked by Hauser.

Am scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Am tries to throw a body punch but Hauser avoids it by throwing Am back against the cage.
Am struggles to land a body shot inside as Hauser controls his hands.
Hauser tries to circle away but Am has him pinned against the cage.
Sam Am has scored more points in the clinch so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hauser is trying to break the clinch but Am has him pressed against the cage.
Am goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Am.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sam Am will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Am looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Hauser is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Am not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hauser is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Am wants to control from the top but Hauser keeps moving.
Am stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hauser swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Am tries to clinch up but Hauser circles away and keeps his distance.
Hauser pushes Am away with a front kick.
Hauser lands with a nice body kick.
Am on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hauser.
Am has a takedown stuffed.

Am gets a clinch.
Kron Hauser has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sam Am is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A short left from Am.
Am tries a body shot but Hauser blocks it.
Am doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hauser wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Am has him pressed against the cage.
Am prevents Hauser from breaking the clinch.

Hauser wants to get back to striking at distance but Am won't allow it.

Hauser breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Am takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Am avoids a kick to the body.

Am fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hauser to the ground. Am is now in Hauser's guard.
Hauser tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hauser is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Am controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Am seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hauser for as long as he can get away with.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hauser trying to keep a closed guard but Am is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sam Am showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Am, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
