Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Babak Dundee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandon Alvero!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dundee decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Alvero tries to kick Dundee off but Dundee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dundee prevents Alvero from improving his position.

Dundee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alvero should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Dundee is looking to take a break and control but Alvero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dundee is controlling the pace.
Alvero is trying to stand up here but Dundee is controlling him well.
Dundee not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dundee shoots for a takedown but Alvero saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alvero misses with a two punch combination.
Alvero lands a really nice looking cross but Dundee seems unphased.
Brandon Alvero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvero fails to land with a series of punches.
Alvero throws a series of strikes that have Dundee backpedaling.


It looks like Babak Dundee has been cut.
Alvero lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Alvero.
Dundee is breathing heavily.
Alvero misses with a jab, cross combination.
Alvero misses with a few strikes there.
Alvero looks to land a right hand but Dundee moved out of range.
Alvero looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A big right from Alvero misses.

Dundee closes the distance and clinches.
Alvero is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Dundee ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dundee no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Alvero postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Alvero is posturing up here but Dundee has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Alvero tries to roll out but it's too tight and Alvero has to tap! Slick submission there by Dundee!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Babak Dundee!
