The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Short lands with a right hand.
It looks like Alvaro Lee has been cut.
Short tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Short shows good takedown defense.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Short! Lee is backing up but he can't get away as Short lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Lee and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bubba Short!
A relieved looking Bubba Short thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
