Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sambo Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urek Mazino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sambo Patrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Urek Mazino!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazino fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Mazino. No joy for Patrick on that attempt.
Mazino misses with a takedown attempt - Patrick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mazino looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from Patrick.
Mazino pivots, looking for a leg kick but Patrick is out of range and Mazino settles back down.

Patrick drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mazino tries to buck Patrick off but Patrick is having none of it.
Mazino is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Mazino tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Patrick wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mazino takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Patrick is putting a hurting on Mazino here, landing some big shots from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patrick tries to move to mount but Mazino blocks the move with his legs.
Patrick moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Mazino is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Patrick advances nicely into full mount.

Patrick stands up from mount. Strange move.
Patrick misses with a head kick.

Patrick darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mazino looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Patrick lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Patrick looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Patrick takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Patrick has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Patrick passes to full mount!
Patrick with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Patrick working the ground and pound effectively.
Mazino is looking to get to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Patrick cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Patrick takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Patrick working for a submission but Mazino is keeping him at bay.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sambo Patrick dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Patrick avoids the head kick by Mazino.
Mazino tries to close the distance and clinch but Patrick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Patrick closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Urek Mazino has been cut.
Patrick fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mazino shoots in looking for a takedown. Patrick tries to sprawl out of it but Mazino keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Patrick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Patrick leaves Mazino with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Mazino gets caught flat footed, as Patrick shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Mazino is rocked!
Mazino is breathing heavily.

Patrick drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Patrick as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Mazino screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Patrick! Nice submission victory there!
