Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ross Vangard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smashing Scrotes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vangard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Scrotes was covering up waiting for the punch and Vangard finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vangard looking to sit in guard and control but Scrotes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Vangard is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Vangard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Vangard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Vangard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Scrotes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vangard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vangard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Ross Vangard will probably get the nod.

Smashing Scrotes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Scrotes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vangard manages to avoid it.

Scrotes has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Vangard has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
