Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from DiMa.
DiMa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
DiMa on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cooper Ii ducks right into an uppercut from DiMa.
Cooper Ii leaves DiMa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sheldon Cooper Ii has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nich DiMa.
DiMa tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cooper Ii defends well and DiMa ends up having to push Cooper Ii into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

DiMa shoots in but Cooper Ii avoids the takedown attempt easily.

DiMa throws a lazy uppercut
and Cooper Ii makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. DiMa really felt that one!
DiMa misses with a takedown attempt - Cooper Ii sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
DiMa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cooper Ii defends it nicely.

DiMa has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cooper Ii.

and Cooper Ii counters with a body kick that stops DiMa in his tracks momentarily.
DiMa throws a jab but it's blocked by Cooper Ii.

A nice leg kick lands there from Cooper Ii.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

DiMa missing with a left hand there. Cooper Ii was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

DiMa closes the distance and clinches up with Cooper Ii, looking for a takedown. DiMa pushes Cooper Ii against the cage but Cooper Ii circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

DiMa throws a hook but Cooper Ii blocks it.

Cooper Ii lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cooper Ii lands with a kick to the temple. DiMa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Cooper Ii lands a glancing blow to the side of DiMa's head.

DiMa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
DiMa takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Cooper Ii swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by DiMa.
Cooper Ii paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cooper Ii is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Cooper Ii pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DiMa scores with the left hand. Cooper Ii knows he should have avoided that one.
DiMa throws a lazy right hand but Cooper Ii sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
DiMa's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Cooper Ii slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
DiMa takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Cooper Ii thows a body kick. DiMa tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Cooper Ii defends well against a solid takedown attempt from DiMa.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cooper Ii darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

and Cooper Ii counters with a big head kick but DiMa shrugs it off.

Cooper Ii throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
DiMa is still on wobbly legs! Can Cooper Ii finish him?
Nich DiMa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cooper Ii explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
DiMa shoots in for a takedown but Cooper Ii shows good takedown defense.
DiMa has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Cooper Ii.
Cooper Ii scores with a kick to the body.
DiMa seems to have recovered his senses.
DiMa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cooper Ii looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Cooper Ii is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
DiMa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cooper Ii has escaped the position, nice work there.
DiMa throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Cooper Ii knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for DiMa on the ground.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
DiMa misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
DiMa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cooper Ii, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DiMa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cooper Ii napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cooper Ii is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, DiMa asserts his dominance and retains side control.
DiMa has hold of Cooper Ii's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cooper Ii seems comfortable defending it but DiMa has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cooper Ii is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cooper Ii is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but DiMa couldn't care less - he's delighted!
