Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Breeze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Patrick McDonnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Breeze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Patrick McDonnell!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonnell misses with a right hand

and Breeze counters with a nice double leg into guard.
McDonnell trying to control the position.
Breeze working some strikes from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDonnell working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Breeze.
Breeze throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

McDonnell is looking for a triangle but Breeze pushes his legs off easily.
Breeze loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

McDonnell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Breeze can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McDonnell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Breeze defends it easily.

We've been hearing that Breeze has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

McDonnell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Breeze is looking to work some ground and pound but McDonnell has wrist control.

Breeze got a little sloppy there for a moment and McDonnell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Breeze has managed to get both his arms back between McDonnell's legs - danger averted.
Breeze wants to control from the top but McDonnell keeps moving.
Breeze lands a couple of decent looking shots.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McDonnell has control of Breeze's left arm, preventing Breeze from doing any damage.
Breeze with a flurry of punches that miss.
Breeze lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Breeze trying to control the position from guard on top but McDonnell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McDonnell tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Breeze in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Breeze wants to control from the top but McDonnell keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Breeze throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Breeze tries a head kick but it misses.
Breeze gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McDonnell counters with an outside leg kick.
Breeze digs a good hook to McDonnell's body.
McDonnell throws a leg kick which misses Breeze's front leg but catches the back leg as Breeze tries to avoid it.
McDonnell fails with an attempt to clinch.
Breeze tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McDonnell was well out of range. Poor timing from Breeze.
Breeze throws a right and a left that McDonnell avoids nicely.
Breeze takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
McDonnell moves out of range of the body kick from Breeze.

McDonnell misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Breeze counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for McDonnell!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Breeze working the head and body with strikes.
McDonnell dodges the ground and pound from Breeze.
McDonnell wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Breeze connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McDonnell some visible discomfort.

Breeze wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McDonnell, who protects the arm well.
McDonnell felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
McDonnell regains half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McDonnell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Breeze is working away from the top position though.
Breeze passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for McDonnell!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Breeze dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McDonnell is looking to chop away at Breeze's legs.
McDonnell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Breeze scores with the left hand. McDonnell knows he should have avoided that one.
McDonnell tries to close the distance and clinch but Breeze swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McDonnell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Breeze moves out of range of the body kick from McDonnell.
Breeze lands with an uppercut that bounces McDonnell off the cage and back into range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Breeze punishes McDonnell's body with a nice straight punch.
McDonnell dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Breeze. That did some damage!
Breeze throws a series of punches but McDonnell moves out of range.

Breeze changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McDonnell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Breeze works to advance to full mount. McDonnell defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Breeze lands a big elbow.
Breeze lands with some strikes.
Breeze is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McDonnell can do to turn this around?
Breeze connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Breeze scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish McDonnell?
McDonnell is bucking up trying to escape but Breeze cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
McDonnell tries to lock up and control but Breeze gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Breeze breaks from McDonnell's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Breeze avoids the attempt from McDonnell to control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee warns McDonnell that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Ben Breeze overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Breeze connects with a bit shot that sees McDonnell covering up! More strikes from Breeze and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Breeze is our winner by TKO!

A relieved looking Ben Breeze thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
