Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Riasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Vilkas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riasco comes into the arena with The Mexakinz ft. Xzibit - The Wake Up Show blaring out of the sound system. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riasco dives in and scores a takedown into Vilkas's guard.
Riasco content to stall in guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riasco stands and throws Vilkas's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Vilkas is trying to get back to half guard.
Riasco advances to full mount.
Vilkas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riasco drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vilkas looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vilkas looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vilkas!

Vilkas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Riasco some visible discomfort.
Riasco is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Vilkas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Vilkas is trying to control. Riasco wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Vilkas tries to free his leg and advance position but Riasco is retaining full guard.
Riasco looking for a triangle here. Vilkas is fighting it but it looks tight! Riasco pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Vilkas is tapping out - this one is all over!
