PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres comes to the cage accompanied by All I Do Is Win. Gray has chosen Skindred - Warning as his entrance music. Gray has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 29 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Torres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Gray!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres misses with a wild combination.
Gray lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Dan Torres has been cut.
Torres throws a right hand that Gray ducks under and follows up with a left that Gray also avoids with ease.
Torres throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gray drops Torres with a right and a left! Gray comes rushing in but Torres regains his composure and manages to keep Gray in guard.

Torres is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gray looking to pass the guard.
Oh Torres is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gray throws a strike but Torres rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Torres seems to have got his legs back now.
Gray is pulling down on Torres's head. It's preventing any offense from Torres, at least for the moment.

Gray had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Torres defends it easily.

Gray looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gray tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Torres stands up from Gray's guard - Torres perhaps looking for a knockout.
Gray looks to throw a body kick
and Torres counters with a three punch combo that has Gray backing up. Gray nods at Torres to acknowledge the strikes.
Gray is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gray looks winded!
Gray connects with a leg kick. Torres looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Torres misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gray throws a series of punches but Torres avoids them all with ease.
Gray tests Torres's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Gray seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Torres shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Gray is backing up but Torres catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Gray covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Torres Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Torres!
