PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrison comes into the arena with Diary of a Madman blaring out of the sound system. Pettis has chosen eminem lose yourself as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Morrison tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pettis tries to control but Morrison wriggling away.
Morrison is trying desperately to improve position.

Morrison closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pettis's guard.
Pettis keeping moving, preventing Morrison from controlling successfully.
Pettis wants to get back to his feet but Morrison is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Morrison drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Morrison jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pettis wants to stand and escape but Morrison is having none of it.
David Morrison overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pettis pushes Morrison off looking to stand but Morrison dives back in and keeps control.
Pettis is looking to control Morrison's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pettis avoid being mounted?
