Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jafrel Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Bordoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bordoy has chosen beats on a string as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson stuffs the takedown.
Bordoy pivots, looking for a leg kick but Johnson is out of range and Bordoy settles back down.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bordoy.
Bordoy misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jafrel Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Bordoy.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Johnson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Johnson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bordoy for as long as he can get away with.

and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Johnson forces Bordoy back against the cage and clinches.

Johnson is trying to trip Bordoy. He has hold of a leg but Bordoy is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Johnson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

David Bordoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
