Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Ronny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lanier Trina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Ronny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lanier Trina!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trina shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ronny is trying to defend but Trina finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ronny wants to control but Trina is keeping busy.
Trina thows a huge punch but Ronny dodges it nicely.

Trina is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ronny wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trina lands a really nice looking cross but Ronny seems unphased.
Ronny tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Trina defends well and Ronny ends up having to push Trina into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Ronny passes Trina's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Trina has hold of Ronny's hands but Ronny slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ronny wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trina keeps working.

It looks like Jason Ronny has been cut.

Trina escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ronny gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ronny thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ronny seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Trina is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ronny seems to be looking for submissions.

Trina might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ronny haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
