The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Llorent.
Llorent tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Backstrom counters by clinching up.

Backstrom works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Backstrom drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Backstrom jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Backstrom throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Llorent works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Backstrom accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

and Backstrom counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Backstrom.
Llorent is trying to drag Backstrom to the mat but Backstrom just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Backstrom gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Backstrom maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Llorent could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Backstrom has cracked it and Llorent is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Backstrom!
