Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harold Norman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Tremblay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Tremblay will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harold Norman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Tremblay!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tremblay gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Norman counters with a nice body shot.
Norman throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tremblay misses with a takedown
and Norman counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Norman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tremblay looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Tremblay tries to bench press Norman off him but Norman keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Tremblay's face as Norman controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Norman is taking a breather. Tremblay says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Norman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tremblay on his heels. He'll look to pass Tremblay's guard now, I'm sure.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Steve Tremblay hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Norman counters with a series of strikes. Tremblay will be more careful next time no doubt.

Norman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tremblay for as long as he can get away with.

Tremblay is fighting off a takedown attempt but Norman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Tremblay to the mat. Tremblay regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Harold Norman.

Norman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tremblay manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Norman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've been informed that Tremblay has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Harold Norman.
Well Norman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
