The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson lands a left and a right that send Bowen crashing to the mat, dazed. Anderson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Geraldo Bowen has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bowen avoids a punch combination nicely.

Anderson throws a shot from downtown. Bowen moves away and avoids it.

Bowen darts in looking for a takedown but Anderson gets double underhooks and turns Bowen into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Bowen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bowen tries to pull guard but Anderson holds him up against the cage and eventually Bowen drops back down to his feet.
Anderson swings wildly with an uppercut but Bowen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Anderson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Bowen seems to have got his legs back now.
Bowen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anderson to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Geraldo Bowen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bowen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.

Anderson gets tackled into the cage by Bowen. Bowen maintains the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Anderson swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Bowen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Bowen counters with a one-two to the body.
Anderson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bowen at a distance.
Anderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anderson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anderson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Anderson stuns Bowen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
