The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rulez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rulez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rulez shoots in but Silver avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Silver clinches up against the cage.
Silver tries to land knees in the clinch but Rulez avoids the damage to the body.
A nice right hand lands inside from Silver.
Rulez is trying to break the clinch but Silver has him pressed against the cage.

Rulez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rulez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Silver sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Wandy Silver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silver will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rulez shoots in looking for a takedown. Silver tries to sprawl out of it but Rulez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silver manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Silver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rulez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Silver throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Fejao Rulez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
