PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yohan Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpo Suhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suhonen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gers Pardoel - Ik Neem Je Mee kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Alpo Suhonen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Suhonen.
Suhonen has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Machado is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Machado feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Suhonen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Machado defends well.

Machado wants to pass the guard but Suhonen is keeping the position.

Suhonen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Machado has his hands clasped together but Suhonen extends and breaks Machado's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Suhonen.
