The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes lands a nice shot that snaps Ribeiro's head back.
Ribeiro shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Hayes throws a hook but Ribeiro blocks it.
Ribeiro throws a lazy body kick
and Hayes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hayes lands with an uppercut that bounces Ribeiro off the cage and back into range.
Hayes blocks the body kick.
Hayes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hayes lands a big shot that drops Ribeiro! Can he finish him?
