Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kimbo Rice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rickson Gracie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rice connects with a body shot.
Gracie fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Gracie tries to keep at a distance but Rice has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rice's waist but Rice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.
Kimbo Rice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Gracie.

Rice drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rice wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

Rice avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rice postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Gracie looks gassed!

Rice is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control.
Rice throws a strike but Gracie rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rice swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rice is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rice is wriggling around but Gracie manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie stops Rice from getting back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rice defends it well.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Rice is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Rice is defending well.
Rice wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.

Gracie stops Rice from getting back to his feet.
Rice throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Rice might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Rice is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.
Gracie is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Gracie has hold of Rice's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rice manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gracie moves to back control.

Rice is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rice trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Gracie is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Rice won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Gracie off his unconscious opponent!
