Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Montgomery Nagendra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nagendra is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mozart - Lacrimosa. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nagendra is looking for a sweep.
Nagendra manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hunt's best efforts.
Nagendra manages to get to full guard.
Nagendra trying to keep a closed guard but Hunt is proving a slippery customer.

Hunt drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nagendra dives on top into guard.

Nagendra is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Nagendra lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Hunt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nagendra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nagendra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hunt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nagendra connects with a nice short shot to Hunt's temple.

Nagendra is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hunt is just riding it out for now. Nagendra eventually gives up the hold.

Nagendra drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hunt looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hunt looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hunt!

Nagendra is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hunt off and has taken his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, with Nagendra on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Hunt is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
The referee is taking a good look at Hunt as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Nagendra!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nagendra wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hunt, who protects the arm well.

Hunt is looking to get back to his feet here but Nagendra is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hunt's back.

Hunt is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Nagendra gets his way!
