Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between TW WO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodolfo Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Carvalho throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jab, jab by Carvalho - just one landing.
Carvalho lands with an uppercut that bounces WO off the ropes and back into range.
WO throws the left hand but Carvalho avoids the punch easily.
WO throws a head kick that misses.
WO looks to land a combination but Carvalho avoids it well.
Nice shot lands for Carvalho.
TW WO seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
WO swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Carvalho counter with a right hand.
Carvalho scores with a nice right hand.
WO staying out of range there.
WO shoots in for a double leg but Carvalho sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Carvalho jabbing away but nothing is landing.
WO shoots in for a takedown but Carvalho shows good takedown defense.

WO shoots in looking for a takedown. Carvalho tries to sprawl out of it but WO keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Carvalho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TW WO. That's going to take a lot out of him.
WO closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carvalho circles away.
WO shoots and misses
and Carvalho counters with a straight right hand.

and Carvalho connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

WO drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Carvalho is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but WO has just dragged him back down to the mat.

WO has an Americana. Carvalho didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! WO is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if WO hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
