The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lethal swings wildly with an uppercut but Plouman Jnr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Plouman Jnr is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lethal is keeping busy.

Plouman Jnr is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Lethal looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Plouman Jnr tries to stall but Lethal uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That was a close round but I would say that Luke Plouman Jnr will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Plouman Jnr throws out a head kick that Lethal doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Lethal crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Lethal's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

Good leg kick by Plouman Jnr there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Plouman Jnr scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Lethal walks forward, straight into a front kick from Plouman Jnr.

Plouman Jnr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lethal has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Plouman Jnr feints and then cracks Lethal's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lethal down.
Plouman Jnr lands a nice shot to the body.
Plouman Jnr lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Plouman Jnr lands a head kick that bluckles Lethal and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Plouman Jnr no doubt looking to push for a finish!

That has opened up Lex Lethal's cut even more.

Plouman Jnr looks low and kicks high, catching Lethal right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!
