The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koponen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Koponen misses with a series of wild punches.
Koponen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Koponen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gregory's head backwards.
Horrible takedown attempt by Koponen or perhaps it was just good defense by Gregory, which made it look bad.
Koponen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gregory is looking to clinch.
Gregory throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gregory throws a series of punches but Koponen moves out of range.
Gregory takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koponen throws the left hand but Gregory avoids the punch easily.
Gregory displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Koponen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abel Koponen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice combination there by Gregory.

Koponen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gregory manages to avoid it.

and Gregory comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Koponen stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Gregory is on him like rabid pit bull! Koponen slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
